The Afro International Film Market and Festival (AIFMF) is managed under license by “Arise and Build Nigeria development Initiative” as a franchise of the long established Cape Town International Film Market and Festival and operates under the name of AIFMF in Nigeria. Throughout our illustrious presence as a film market, we attracts film submissions from more than 80 countries to a total exceeding 700 films. In competition and panorama, we screen of the biggest selection of films of any International film festival – and arguably the biggest in Africa – with a total of nearly 200 films screened over 10 days. With the spotlight on African content after the global success of Black Panther, the AIFMF can expect equal or better levels of participation – especially since Nigeria is the worlds second biggest film industry after India.

Chief Jasper Johnson, is a Nigerian national with a heart of gold. Born and raised in Porthacourt River state of Nigeria, he is a graduate of political science from the prestigious university of Abuja. Having worked with the Presidency of Dr. Ebele Goodluck Johnathan as strategic youth adviser, the position brought enomous interactions with nigerian youths in Nigeria and Diaspora, especially youths in the entertainment industry. He then saw the need to establish the afro internation film market and festival in partnership with the long established Cape Town International Film Market and Festival in other to bridge the gap in the industry as well as connect nollywood and the african film industry to Hollywood and other global brands. Chief Jonson , holds traditional chieftancy titles of Ochiali the 7th of Ahunwa Kingdom and Enyi OHa 1 of ibagwa-aka Kingdom and also married.
